Encouragement
Sometimes as we are going along on our journey of healing we need some encouragement. Being aware of our thoughts and emotions, replacing negative beliefs with positive ones, staying with what’s true not created stories, using language that connects rather than destroys, seeking balance and caring for our bodies with exercise, healthy eating and enough sleep can seem exhausting! It was easier when we were oblivious. But we were miserable! We wanted change so we started down the path of health. It’s a rewarding path at times but it can also be challenging.
Here’s what I know about this journey: It is completely worth it! Stay with it! I don’t ever want to go back to the days of being oblivious. I was trapped, held down by false negative beliefs about myself. I was a victim to my emotions, tossed up and down depending on the words and actions of others. Not anymore…most of the time. I want to cheer you on in your journey. It is worth it. See the victories you have already experienced, the freedom found through awareness. Keep a journal using words or pictures, or have objects you can look at that represent the wins along your journey. Look back at the words, pictures or objects periodically so you don’t forget how far you have come!
Take a deep breath and as you exhale remind yourself the healing process is worth it 🙂
