Smalley Marriage Intensive
Karen has been in private practice since 2007. She uses EMDR, EFT, Mindfulness, and attachment-based approaches. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Counselor Education & Supervision at the Townsend Institute for Leadership and Counseling at Concordia University Irvine. Her belief is that significant healing occurs primarily in the context of an authentic relationship with clients. She helps supervisees find their unique clinical expression of themselves like an artist discovering their style. This is not a cookie-cutter production factory but a safe space to explore who you are and how you want to show up for clients while simultaneously improving your skill set. Adherence to the ACA Code of Ethics and state regulations is a primary foundation for any clinician and is a focus of the supervisory experience. If you are interested in pursuing clinical supervision with Karen, contact her to discuss your needs and determine the best plan for you.
